INTO THE COLD

HEALING WITH COLD

Around 2 years ago I started getting into the cold! I wasn't feeling well because of stress and I was suffering from a breakdown, lots of things were surfacing for me at that time. I did have a morning practice but I had kind of forgotten about it and myself. I had heard of wim hof but I came across him and his methods again on youtube by chance. I love health hacks so I was really interested in his work and he was just so inspiring. From that moment I realised I can choose to get out of this headspace and I take my life force back, so I did! I started cold showers and breathing every morning with some yoga stretches and I started to feel quick benefits physically and mentally very quickly. I started to feel again and come back into my body and peeling back more layers of healing. What was so special about this journey was realising we have the power to heal ourselves, we just need to make a choice and be committed to self. Once you can do that for yourself, then you can really be there fully for others. My life really started to transform with my practice,  claiming my life force and energy every morning. I also developed some very powerful gratitude mantras over the years that I say every morning and night. The mantras really brought me into full trust and alignment. I really love cold water therapy, it made me feel alive and primal. I think it is fundamental for us to experience the cold, it brings us back to nature, it humbles us and brings gratitude for the combforts we have. It has so many health benefits, like boosting the immune system, anxiety, depression. I can't recommend cold therapy enough, especially getting into natural waters. It’s a huge part of my lifestyle now, I love everything about it and I'm deeply grateful for the elements bringing me so much healing. If you're feeling stuck, start getting cold, try showers first and build it up. Then go wild swimming. I also recommend these people and places if you want to be held by a practitioner.

We all have the ability to heal ourselves, it takes commitment, discipline and courage.
