Fathers Cook shop: A Space for Cooking & Connection
Fathers Cookshop is a unique opportunity for dads to come together, share their experiences, and develop valuable cookery skills. In this four-part series, fathers will learn how to prepare simple, delicious family-style meals that are both nourishing and meaningful.
As fathers, we are invited to step into the provider role in every sense to support our family. One of the most important ways we can nurture our family is by creating meals together, which nourish the mind, body and soul. This course focuses on giving fathers the space to connect, share their challenges and triumphs, and support each other in a non-judgmental, empowering environment.
Fire will be a key feature in this experience, symbolising our primal connection to food and masculinity. It’s about grounding ourselves into the ancient rituals of cooking with fire and learning some simple techniques to take family feasts to a new level.

Essential Equipment & Ingredients: Get familiar with must-have kitchen tools and pantry staples that will elevate your cooking.
How to Cook Over Fire: Learn the art of fire cooking and bbq.
Mindfulness in the Kitchen: Develop presence and focus, turning cooking into a meditative practice that nourishes your mind as well as your body.
Sharing: A space to connect, share, and support each other through the journey of fatherhood and cooking.
Meditation: Short practices to ground ourselves and bring calm before or after cooking, strengthening our connection to the food we prepare.
A Father’s Feast: After each session, we’ll gather to enjoy a delicious meal together, savoring the flavors of our hard work and celebrating the bond we’ve built as a group.

Dishes We Will Learn:
Curry Night: Dive into the rich, aromatic world of curries—perfect for creating a comforting, family-style meal.
Turkish Kebabs: Master the art of grilling flavorful kebabs that are sure to please everyone at the table.
Mediterranean Chicken Feast: A vibrant, wholesome spread full of fresh ingredients and bold flavors that celebrate the seasonal flavours of Ibiza.
Steak Night: Learn to cook the perfect steak with seasonal sides and sauces that make it a complete and satisfying meal.
Facilitator: Chris aka Conscious Cook
Leading the sessions will be Chris, known as the Conscious Cook. Chris is a father, chef, healer, and men's work facilitator who brings over ten years of experience in the kitchen and in personal growth. He’ll bridge the worlds of men’s work and cookery, creating an open-hearted, inclusive kitchen space where fathers can feel safe, heard, and supported. Chris will share everything he’s learned on his journey guiding participants toward a deeper connection to their food, themselves and our roles as fathers.

CANCELLATION POLICY
50% of the total cost is a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit. Please note, if we need to cancel the experience for any reason, you will get a full refund. If you cancel your place 4 weeks prior to the event date you will receive a refund minus the 50% deposit. If you cancel your place within 2 weeks you will not receive a refund. However, if you need to cancel and we manage to fill your space we will transfer your place to someone else and refund you, minus the 50% deposit and any transaction fees. We are human and will always try and make sure no one loses out as long as there is enough time and space to do so. However, at the same time we need to protect ourselves with this cancellation policy and terms because we are running these spaces as a family and it requires a lot of time, costs and preparation to make it happen.
