CHOCOLATE ORANGE BROWNIES

Raw plant based, gluten-free and refined sugar free brownies to brighten up your day. These make the perfect guilt free treat. Perfect post workout.  

Yields 8 large slices

INGREDIENTS

  • 150g almonds

  • 3 tablespoon raw cacao powder

  • 1 orange (zest only)

  • 400g medjool dates

  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup

  • garnishes

  • orange zest

  • pinch sea salt


METHOD

Add almonds to a food processor and blitz until they make a crumble-like consistency. Then add all of the other ingredients and blitz again.


Once the mixture is really sticky and holds together, put it onto a baking tray and flatten the mixture into a square - around 20cm squared and about 2cm high. 

You can use a spatula to help. 


Cover with some cling film, add to the freezer for an hour to set, then take out and store them in the fridge. 


Once they have set, remove and cut into eight pieces.
