oat flat breads
This is a signature Conscious Cook flatbread. This one goes out to all of my gluten and wheat free homies. The very best option for gluten and wheat free flatbread only made with a few pure ingredients. I make different variations of these but they go perfectly with Middle Eastern food, Indian or even great for breakfast wrap. Super simple to make and super nutritious. They are seriously banging and you can never have enough of them. Enjoy.
OAT FLATBREAD
1 cup oat flour (doves farm)
1/2 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon nigella seeds
1 teaspoon coconut oil
pinch himalayan salt
METHOD
Blend the oats in a high speed blender (or you can buy pre blended oat flour by doves farm) Make sure you keep a little back for dusting. Add to a bowl and make sure there are no lumps. Add salt, sesame seeds, nigella seeds and give it a good mix. Add coconut oil and make a well in the middle and pour in the water. Bring in the edges of the flour into the water until it’s combined and
then use your hands to knead into a smooth dough and then roll into a ball. Leave the dough in a bowl and cover for 5 minutes with a tea towel. Split the mixture into 4/6 balls and dust a chopping board with oat flour and put a square of parchment paper on top of the ball, press down with your hands and then roll them out. Add to a dry frying pan on high heat then cook on each side for about 1 minute until golden. Keep them warm by wrapping them in a tea towel.
